You will find our team to be a very friendly and helpful group of tech oriented PR, digital marketing and marketing communications people.

Our client facing team members have extensive consulting experience working with a world class array of global leaders, high growth Irish exporters and companies focused on the local market. We are steeped in B2B, and all have proven track records helping clients grow their businesses and become market leaders.

Allan

Managing Director and Founder
Allan has 30 years of experience helping technology oriented organisations grow their business through strategy based PR and marketing communications. Allan has consulted with more than 100 technology oriented companies including PayPal, Cable&Wireless, Ricoh, Avaya, CA Technologies, Halo Business Angel Network, TERMINALFOUR, Equinix, Diaceutics, eir and Data Solutions.

He has a passion for helping technology businesses build differentiated and authentic brands through simple, memorable communications.

Before Comit, he was EMEA campaign manager for Oracle. Prior to that, he was marketing manager in the data communications and software sectors with exporters Cornel and Software Dimensions. These experiences taught Allan how PR and marketing can combine to deliver exceptional results when focused on clear business growth objectives. The need for Ireland’s first tech focused PR and marketing communications agency led him to found Comit in 1997. Allan has a degree in business and marketing from University of Limerick, and postgrad diplomas in business planning and marketing strategy from DIT and IMI.

When Allan is not working, he enjoys family time, a weekly game of golf, daily early morning swims and holidays in Strandhill. He would love to have played for Sligo Rovers...if only he was any good!

Barry

Client Director and Board Member
Barry has extensive experience providing strategic and tactical PR and marketing communications services to technology companies in Ireland. He is a co-owner of Comit and has been with the business for 15 years. He is one of Ireland’s most respected corporate PR practitioners, having managed the accounts of some of the largest global technology providers as well as a wide range of successful Irish technology companies.

Barry’s deep understanding of the Irish technology market, exceptional customer service ethos and great media relationships, ensures that he consistently delivers exceptional business results for clients. Before joining Comit, Barry was an account manager with Oracle, working with many high profile corporate clients. He started his career in the publishing industry, learning first-hand how the media works. Barry holds a marketing degree from WIT, and postgrad diplomas in digital marketing and computer science from IMI and UCC respectively.

Outside of work, Barry is most likely to be found on a princess or fairy adventure (he has 3 young daughters!), watching football, or socialising with friends and family.

Helen

Account Director

Helen has extensive international journalism, digital marketing, PR and communications experience. Having started out her career in The Irish Sun, Helen worked as Features Writer for five years before moving to Dubai. There, she was chief correspondent for a content marketing agency, before joining Forbes Middle East as Features Editor.

Helen has an English and History degree from UCD and postgraduate qualification in Journalism from Griffith College Dublin. She has a passion for news, media, the arts and travel and has travelled across the globe, with favourite places including Nepal, Russia, Sri Lanka and Jordan. If she could sing, Helen would be a West End star.

Rebecca

Account Director

Rebecca has worked in journalism for the last six years and has extensive experience across a number of mediums. Having started out in the digital sphere at Maximum Media, she moved into print and creative communications at Harmonia Publishing before joining Comit.

Throughout her career, she has worked closely with a vast range of clients to produce engaging marketing and advertorial content across both print and digital, including social media. She prides herself on creating campaigns that deliver a brand’s key messaging. Rebecca’s roles have also seen her writing for a variety of publications and audiences.

Rebecca holds a BA in English Literature and Film from Queens University Belfast and an MA in Journalism from Dublin City University. When she’s not working or putting the final touches to her debut novel, she can be found on the tennis courts or at the cinema.

Ruth

Account Manager

Coming from a journalism background, Ruth is always on the lookout for the next story. She holds a BA Degree in Journalism from Dublin City University and has experience writing for a range of publications, from local to national.

Ruth joined Comit from communications consultancy, O’Hea PR, where she worked for five years across a variety of clients and some of Ireland’s biggest brands. Prior to this, she cut her PR teeth with communications agency Purcell Masterson in her native Kilkenny. However, she considers herself an honourary Dub, having lived here for nearly a decade!

Outside the office, Ruth has been bitten by the travel bug and has travelled to over 20 countries (and counting). On home soil, she can be found with her nose in a book or a coffee in her hand.

Rochelle

Account Manager

Rochelle is passionate about storytelling, making a career in PR for her an obvious choice.  Before joining Comit, Rochelle had  around  four years of work experience in tech and corporate PR. She has previously worked with small and mid-sized PR agencies and has worked with some of the most prominent tech brands in the world.

She has completed her Degree in Management in India and her MSc. in Marketing Management at NUI, Galway.

Out of work, Rochelle loves learning languages. She is fluent in six of them and is hoping to learn one new European language this year. As someone who loves The West of Ireland, maybe it will be Irish! She prefers tea over coffee but having worked as a barista for a year in Galway she feels she might have to re-think her preferences.

Lauren

Junior Account Executive

Lauren is passionate about storytelling and relationship building. She holds a BA in Communications Studies and an MSc in PR and Strategic Communications from Dublin City University. Before making a move to the PR space, Lauren gained two years of experience in client management and content writing within the recruitment sector.

Outside of the office, Lauren loves to travel and visit friends in Canada. When possible, she returns to her roots in the Sunny Southeast for sea swims.

Debbie

Finance Director

Debbie looks after the administration and financial side of operations.   She keeps us on the straight and narrow.   Debbie is a graduate of DIT and has a postgraduate diploma in IT.  Previously Debbie worked in Dublin Business Innovation Centre where she worked directly with new emerging technology companies and Allfinanz where she was a web developer. When Debbie is not in the office she’s usually looking after children and running the family taxi service to soccer, hockey, swimming, kids parties……
