I am a junior account executive with Comit and this is my first job in the world of tech PR and what an introduction I’ve received. I decided to write this blog to give others with an interest in working in PR an insight into life within a tech PR agency in Dublin and the fun I’ve had so far. To say I’ve learned a lot since I started working here would be an understatement but the learning curve has become a little less steep because of the mentoring, training and support I’ve received from the Comit team.

I didn’t know what a “super-angel” was a week ago but I definitely do after attending the EBAN congress. The team at Comit had the privilege of doing all the PR for HBAN, who hosted this year’s European Business Angel Congress on the 19th and 20th of May, and what an enjoyable two days it turned out to be.

As stated in our last blog post, it has been an incredible year for technology in Ireland and next year is building on this trend. As well as being home to some of the top companies in the world, Ireland is also fast becoming a global hub for technology start-ups. Innovative and exciting technology companies are continually being established, but one problem with this is that the sheer number of new companies in a similar field creates a saturated market in which it is hard to be noticed.
