A day in the life: My work experience at a tech PR agency

At Comit, every day is an adventure filled with exciting challenges and opportunities. As a PR professional, my role has been multifaceted, encompassing everything from crafting compelling content to nurturing media relationships and driving digital engagement. From managing a diverse portfolio of both national and international clients to securing high-profile media coverage, the experience has been both enriching and fulfilling. The dynamic nature of PR ensures that no two days are the same, offering ample room for growth and skill development.

Skills acquired

During my tenure at Comit, I've had the privilege of acquiring a broad range of skills, both professional and personal. Guided by industry experts and immersed in a collaborative environment, I've gained invaluable insights into various facets of PR and marketing. This journey has involved refining my writing skills, nurturing media relationships, and enhancing strategic and creative thinking.

Despite lacking a background in technology, I've learned the art of simplifying complex concepts—a crucial skill in effectively communicating with diverse audiences.

Furthermore, being part of an eight-person dynamic team has provided me with unparalleled exposure and responsibility, enabling me to contribute significantly to impactful initiatives and client projects. Yet, beyond the acquisition of skills, it's the sense of purpose and fulfilment that truly defines my experience at Comit. Knowing that our efforts make a tangible difference in the success of our clients is what propels us forward each day.

Company culture

Comit prides itself in fostering a vibrant and inclusive company culture that values work-life balance and camaraderie. Embracing a four-day workweek coupled with a hybrid working model, the agency ensures that employees have the flexibility to thrive both personally and professionally.

Moreover, Comit's commitment to fostering a supportive environment is evident through its regular team-building activities and quarterly gatherings aimed at learning and celebration.

Whether it's engaging in training sessions on the latest digital marketing trends, hiking to Johnny Foxes in the Dublin Mountains, or bonding over leisurely lunches at Dublin's finest eateries, these moments serve as the cornerstone of Comit's vibrant culture. It's this spirit of camaraderie and appreciation that truly sets Comit apart as a remarkable place to work.

Collaborating with exceptional individuals extends beyond our own team. I've had the pleasure of working closely with remarkable individuals on both the client and media sides, forging strong relationships and gaining valuable insights and knowledge through our interactions.
